The construction is engineered layer by layer for installation work. IEC 60228 Class 6 stranded bare copper conductors (28 x 0.10 mm) — the finest stranding class — keep the cable supple through conduit bends, ceiling voids and crowded cable trays, and make terminations on XLR panels, Phoenix connectors and patch fields fast and reliable. A low-loss polyolefin dielectric preserves signal integrity on long balanced runs from stage boxes, conference units and wall plates back to the rack. The pair is laid up with a filler and an overlapping non-woven wrap for consistent geometry and easy jacket stripping, while a tinned copper braid exceeding 85% coverage provides dense, permanent EMI protection against the dimmers, LED drivers and mains cabling that share modern installation pathways. The matt black halogen-free jacket is flame retardant and non-corrosive: in the event of fire it releases minimal smoke and no toxic or corrosive gases, protecting people, escape routes and sensitive equipment alike.

At 5.8 mm outer diameter, it handles like a stage cable but is specified like an installation product — the balanced analogue workhorse for microphone and line-level signals throughout the building.
