Engineered for permanently installed DMX and AES/EBU-style digital lines, the DM225BRT-ZHFR brings the proven 120 Ohm geometry of our DM225BRT platform into a Low Smoke Zero Halogen construction designed for the environments where fire performance is not optional: theatres, conference centres, hospitality, retail and public buildings.

Every layer is specified for fixed installation. IEC 60228 Class 5 stranded bare copper conductors (14 x 0.15 mm) ensure easy routing and reliable terminations in panels and junction boxes. A low-loss polyolefin dielectric keeps capacitance down for clean, error-free data transmission over long permanent runs, while the concentric lay-up with filler and overlapping Mylar foil — combined with a tinned copper braid exceeding 90% coverage and a tinned drain wire — delivers double-layer EMI protection against the dense electrical environment of modern installations: dimmers, LED drivers, mains runs and control systems sharing the same cable paths.

The matt black halogen-free jacket is flame retardant and non-corrosive (FRNC): in the event of fire it releases minimal smoke and no toxic or corrosive gases, protecting both people and sensitive equipment.

The result is a compact 5.6 mm installation cable that pulls easily through conduit and trunking, terminates cleanly, and meets the demands that today's system integrators — and their fire safety consultants — actually specify.
